Laura & Jordan's Gretna Green Elopement
In August of 2024 Laura & Jordan made the long journey from Cardiff to elope just the two of them at the Coach House at Gretna Green. Being from Wales they're big nature lovers and wanted to go somewhere local for some scenic couple portraits after the ceremony - luckily for them I had the perfect location in mind! We travelled up to the Scottish Borders and drove around the Scottish countryside getting the most stunning scenic photos. This was definitely one of my favourite elopements to date, and the pictures speak for themselves! Here's some of my favourite shots from their elopement!
Will & Karena's City Elopement Styled Shoot
Back in September Jen at My Pretties (@myprettiesuk on Instagram) organised a content day of a city elopement styled shoot with real couple Will and Karena. We spent two hours wandering the streets of Leeds getting creative and experimenting with new ideas. It was nice to shoot in a completely new place that I haven't shot before, and meet other photographers in the industry. It's safe to say I left feeling very inspired, and I'm thrilled with how the shoot turned out! Here's a few of my favourites!
Amba & Jonathan's Wedding at Hidden River Barn
Amba & Jonathan met when they were 17 in their local pub and have been inseparable ever since. After Jonathan proposed six years ago whilst they were out walking in the Lake District, they both decided they wanted their wedding day to be fun, relaxed and non traditional. They married at the stunning Hidden River Barn in March with a beautiful pastel pink and lilac colour scheme featuring fresh flowers from Sprigs & Berries. They had a pan-Asian platter for their wedding breakfast and decided to scrap the speeches and first dance, and instead opted for some insane entertainment from the Summa Ferguson agency. Here's some of my favourite shots from the day!
Mel & Jamie's Beach Engagement Shoot
Mel & Jamie met in Poland while both travelling around Europe and instantly fell for each other. Mel just knew she had to make the move from Australia to England to be with Jamie, and she definitely didn't regret it when Jamie proposed to her at the top of a mountain in the Lake District in 2023. For their engagement shoot we went to Powfoot beach and had a prosecco picnic waiting for the sun to set. It's safe to say we struck absolute gold with the sky that day!! Here are a few of my favourites from their shoot.
Michala & Holly's Gretna Green Elopement
Michala & Holly opted to marry on the balcony of the penthouse suite at Smith's Hotel, Gretna Green after they decided they wanted to elope and have an intimate ceremony just the two of them. They truly made their wedding unique to them by making their own bouquets at their hen party and bringing pride themed smoke bombs and sunglasses with them. Here's a few of my favourite shots from their elopement!
Lemmington Hall Styled Shoot Workshop
In April I had the most amazing opportunity to attend a styled shoot style workshop in Northumberland with some of the most amazing suppliers! The workshop was ran by Velvet & Linen who done the most amazing job at pulling everything together. There were only 5 attendees including myself so it was a lovely intimate experience working with the models all day. It was so amazing to get to see Lemmington Hall in all it's glory post refurb, ready for it opening up for the first time for weddings later in 2024. Here's some of my favourite shots from the shoot!
Megan & Matty's Adventure Session
When Megan & Matty wanted some updated couple photos after their last photoshoot where Megan was pregnant, I knew the perfect location! We drove up to the Scottish Borders on a VERY windy day in late January, there was gusts of 48mph! Despite the difficult weather, we still got some STUNNING shots. The best thing about this spot (besides the scenic views) is that every photo stop is drivable, so there's absolutely no climbing mountains involved. This location is definitely one of my new favourites! Here's a few of my favourite shots from the shoot.
Abi & Nick's Two Year Anniversary Shoot
Abi and Nick married at The Famous Blacksmith's Shop at Gretna Green in 2021, and had the most lovely idea of coming back every year for an anniversary photoshoot with me. They wanted to showcase their growing family in the photos after their difficult journey with IVF. Their first anniversary shoot featured their lovely English Bulldog puppy Winnie, and their second featured Winnie alongside Abi’s growing baby bump! Aside from getting to document their family’s growth, I truly adore these anniversary shoots as I absolutely LOVE getting to catch up with my couples! Here's some favourite's from Abi & Nick's two year anniversary shoot at Gretna Green.
Jenna & Lola's Autumn Mini Session
Jenna asked me in October 2022 if we could have a photoshoot for her and her beloved pug Lola. Lola recently had to have an operation on her eye, which led to the unexpected removal of her whole left eye. Lola was 13 at the time of the shoot, and Jenna said any time they have with her now is a blessing, so she'd love some memories captured of the two of them to treasure forever. They didn't want a huge shoot, so a mini session was perfect. She brought along her mum Andrea to get a few extra shots as they didn't really have any photos of the two of them together. Lola was so well behaved and we got some gorgeous shots of her, here's here mini shoot below!
Roxanne & Tareque's Gretna Green Elopement
Roxanne & Tareque decided they wanted to elope to Gretna Green in secret after deciding they wanted to get married, but didn't want all the fuss and attention for a big wedding. Their day was so beautiful and intimate, you'd never believe from the photos that we were actually in the height of Storm Bibet! Here's a few of my favourite shots from their elopement.
Megan & Matty's Maternity Session
Megan has been one of my closest friends since primary school, so you can imagine my shock when she messaged me in December of 2022 to tell me she was six months pregnant and had been keeping it a secret from her whole family all that time! With only three months left to go, I was adamant we done a maternity photoshoot for her. She chose to go to the Lake District for it, as that's where most of her and Matty's dates took place. We stopped off at Lodore Falls before we headed over to Derwent Water for a few extra shots on the lake jetties. Here's a few of my favourite shots from the shoot!
